10MB is the maximum size limit for uploaded pictures. For most people, this won't be a problem—images from just about every smartphone and point-and-shoot camera will be under 10MB. However, images from high-end digital cameras that haven't been resized or compressed may be larger than this limit.
If you have a larger image that you’d like to use, you can resize or compress it on your computer using common image editing applications, or even using the built-in image preview applications on Windows and Mac.
If you try to upload a photo that is too small, you’ll receive the following message:
Photos smaller than 1MB do not print well and cannot be enlarged, so we recommend using a different image. If it's a scanned version of a physical photo, re-scanning the photo at a higher resolution should solve this issue.
If you do not have access to a scanner, Google's PhotoScan app takes multiple photos of an image and then stitches them together to create a high-quality photo.
If those options aren't suitable, feel free to contact our customer support team and we’ll be happy to help you out.
